Weekly Word: March 20, Hope of Easter
He is Risen ~
Hope is a beautiful word! It is to look forward to a specific outcome, to wish for a particular ending, or to dream about a goal. It is also a common past time of ours. We often hope for good health, better paying jobs, a bigger house, kids, longer vacations and the list goes on. Hope is powerful force. It encourages us, motivates us, gives us purpose and even impacts the course of our lives.
The Hope of Easter is in Jesus Christ’s Resurrection!
Why does a miracle that happened over two thousand years ago in ancient Palestine matter today? The resurrection matters in every way! It’s spiritual and eternal effect can’t be over stated. His resurrection guarantees life changing hope to all who believe, both in this life and the life to come. Out of the resurrection flows many truths about Jesus Himself, and practical everyday blessings for all believers as well as marvelous eternal promises.
Over the next few weeks we will think about the four truths about Jesus that His resurrection reveals. Lord, during this season of the cross help us to have a new realization of what it means in our lives today!
