God Commands His blessing where there is unity ~
Psalms 133:1 Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity, for there the Lord has commanded His Blessing

When God sees us working together in unity and love, He commands His blessing upon us. Therefore, since we know that, why don’t we work harder for unity? An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest in Luke 9:46. Consequently, Jesus had to deal with the spirit of strife among the disciples. Someone once has wisely sai9d, there is no limit to what can be accomplished if nobody cares who gets the credit.

Another reason for lack of unity is our failure to walk in love. We are unwilling to accept people as they are, to love them, and let the Holy Spirit change them. Today we need to pray that God will help us transcend the spirit of strife, pettiness, and selfishness and begin to reach out to others in love. Only a united church can bring healing to a divided world.
