Weekly Word: April 17th, Devotion
Devotion ~
Easter Sunday usually brings a new devotion and determination to love & serve Jesus! Getting distracted and growing cold is easy, that’s a battle you have to fight constantly. Because of this, Galatians 5:17 says listen for the sinful nature, “it desires opposite of the Spirit, and the Spirit the opposite of the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other…” Therefore, every day you will have to make a decision. Consequently if you don’t the flesh will decide for you and you’ll end up asking, how did I get here? The answer to that question is you never decided not to!
When two people are devoted to each other, they don’t mind sacrificing for each other’s dreams. The Lord has a purpose for you and it can only be reached by a strong relationship with Him. It’s worth all the sacrifice necessary to reach the goal. Decide today how much time and effort you need to sacrifice to stay close to Jesus. You will never be sorry that you did, because Jesus is worth it ALL!
